Is Christianity a Religion?
No. Christianity is the "church" of Jesus Christ. The church is in fact every Christian, born again by the Holy spirit of God.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. He is the Messiah prophesized by the prophets in the old testament, The Lamb, the only begotten son of God who was betrayed by one of His disciples and whom the Jews chose to crucify over a murderer. He is the mediator between Mankind and God and His bodily crucifiction was the opening gate to salvation to the entire world. He took up all the sins of the world at the cross therefore revealing the Glorious Love of God and fulfilling the promise. By repenting and trusting Christ as savior, we may be reconciled with God for eternity through His grace.
Bible Quotes
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (1 Timothy 3:16)
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name (John 20:31)
I am a Roman Catholic, will I be saved?
Unless you have sincerely accepted Christ into your heart as you lord and Savior by faith alone, No. The Roman Catholic church bases itself on Christ's message, but unfortunately as history will show, its practices are contrary to what the bible teaches regarding salvation. They also uphold many graven images and ornaments into their cathedrals seemingly focusing on the visual aspects of faith and traditions, not aligned with scripture. They do not preach the true steps to salvation nor do they speak that salvation is by the grace of God through faith, not by works (Eucharist, burning of incense, water baptism, good deeds, etc). If it were so, it could be said that Jesus was crucified in vain. The true price of salvation to you is free. In order to receive it one must be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ alone by simple believing (see category: be born again). This is how one enters the kingdom of God.
Bible Quotes
Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil (Ecclesiastes 5:1)
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images (Isaiah 42:8)
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11: 14)
And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven (Matthew 23:9)
How can a Holy God hate?
God in nature is perfectly Holy. He does in no way hate the sinner but rather the sin. His love is unconditional toward every living man/woman. Since the world has offended Him by breaking His laws, those who sin against Him and others he must separate from His kingdom. His kingdom cannot be defiled in any way. It remains so that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, for He wishes all to come to repentance.
Bible Quotes
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth (Psalm 11:5)
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)
Why does God allow evil?
God allows Evil in our world to alert us of the problem of sin, to direct us to respond to Him in faith and Hope so that he may unite us to be like Christ and help others. (RBC ministries)
Is God coming back?
Yes. In His first coming, the Lord came in form of a man, to show the world His love and to fulfill the prophecies and open the door of salvation. Therefore we are currently living in the age of Grace. His second visit will be at the end of the Great tribulation (after the rapture) at the battle of Armedgeddon to destroy Satan and the AntiChrist and to establish His 1000 year reign on earth. This is why we all must be ready (saved) before the imminent rapture. The seven years of tribulation will be a time of great persecution for christians (Hell of earth). God has promised to spare His church before His wrath is poured out on all the evil doers.
Bible Quotes
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming ( 2 Thess 2:8)
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:1-7)
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (1 Thess 4:15-17)
Who created God?
God the sole creator of all things has also given us a token of creativity. To try and understand where God originated from is a question no one can truly answer. Our concept of creation is limited to our own nature. What we may know of God is merely what he allows us to, this is why we are so frustrated when trying to find answers to these types of questions. He allows us to create and to evolve by things he already made, for He takes pleasure in His makings. Our concept of origin is through child birth. The supernatural realm is kept veiled from us as limits to our positions in the universe. The bible says, God has been there forever.
Bible Quotes
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God (Psalm 90:2)
Does God take sin seriously?
Yes. God takes sin very seriously, so seriously that he once destroyed the world because of it (Noah's flood). God is patient with us but His wrath is poured out on disobedience. But our attempts to please God are unprofitable since God's standard for holiness can only be attained through Jesus Christ who was essentially sinless.
Bible Quotes
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them (Genesis 6:5-7)
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life (Rom 5:8-10)
Why do humans fear death?
It is because we were not created to die. God had originally created us to live in perfect harmony with Him for eternity. But when we disobeyed Him, our punishment was death. This is why people strive to live vigorous lives. They feel that time is running out and are hasty to accomplish the best life has to offer. When death approaches, humans panic because they don't know what to expect. But God has graciously reopened the gate of eternity through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This is the good news. Fearing death is a choice and if we reconcile with God we can cross over to eternity.
Bible Quotes
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:17)
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23)
I simply don't have faith?
Being born a sinner, it's quite unlikely that you would. Unless the message of Grace has entered your heart, having no faith is not a crime. It is in fact perfectly genuine. Faith comes from hearing the words of Christ and allowing His words to penetrate your soul. You must then take a leap of faith and accept Jesus into your heart, hence you will be shown the true Glory.
Bible Quotes
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12)
