Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

 Introduction
Hell - The Lake of Fire
 Heaven - Eternal Paradise

Heaven and Hell

....Into the fire that never shall be quenched (Mark 9:43)

For the average north american citizen, Heaven and Hell are two fictional destinations which have been used to either compare good and evil deeds or to adjust moral civility among a broken world with the threat of punishment and reward. This implies that most pecking pigeons of the 21st century are vaguely informed on spiritual destiny. Hell is mentioned extensively in the bible compared to heaven. It is imperative that we examine what the bible tells us regarding soul separation.

After Death

After physical death, a person's soul is sent before the judgment seat. Depending on they're previous state with God on earth, they will either be sent to paradise or to torment (bottomless pit). The Lake of fire is the second death, the sentance given to all the damned at the final Judgment. Once deceased, there will be no negotiating terms of any sort. The life which was lived will be set before God's throne of judgment. And boy will that moment be a dreadful one for the unjustifed sinner!

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27)

As a GIFT to all the breathing souls, Jesus is the precious bridge connecting present death (unbelief, unwashed sins) to eternal life. He was the ultimate sacrifice for this crossing and whoever desires life must believe on Jesus Christ for salvation. Do not fool yourselves for a moment. God is love but God is Holy!

Lake of Fire

The flames of Hellfire were not originally established for men. God had ignited them for Satan, his angels and ever lasting fire (Matthew 25:41). God is the author of love, but in love there is righteous justice. All who commit sins in they're lives, even when it could have be considered harmless, to God it is impure and they must be tried to punishment on judgment day. Everyone must come to terms with this and recognise that no one on earth is righteous in God's eyes (clean, Holy). Not One (Romans 3:10)

Hell   is everlasting mind you, and its descriptions should not be taken lightly!

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew 7:21-23)

And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:42)

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8)

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE (Revelation 20:15)

The man in (Luke 16:24) cries: "I am tormented in this FLAME"

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death (Revelation 20:14)

Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down (Amos 9:2)

Into the fire that never shall be quenched (Mark 9:43)

And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth
(Matthew 25:30)

Alive in Christ

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)

One of the most misunderstood concepts of going to heaven is the distinction between good deeds and grace (see Works v.s Grace). The crucial difference as quoted above is between doing the will of God and/or simply acknowledging God existence.

So what is the will of God?

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:40)

Thinking of God intellectually will not grant access to heaven. Only fulfilling the precise commands of God will permit you to be saved. Those commands essentially include trusting in Jesus Christ by faith for eternal life. Repentance is a natural part of putting your faith in Jesus. Why do you need a Savior if there is nothing wrong with you? You acknowledge your sins by the convictions of His word. For those who are earnestly seeking a hope and a eternal happiness, look no further. The God of the Heavens has left reassuring promises to the faithful believer.

What will Heaven be like?

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you (1 Peter 1:4)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4)

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God (Revelation 21:3)

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof (Revelation 21:23)

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2-3)

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9)

 Reserve your place in Heaven!
